During your appointment, they will walk you through every step of the way during the evaluation, showing comparable diamonds on the pre-owned market, explaining to you how we arrived at your offer. Genesis Diamond Buyers has 5 brick and mortar locations and an extensive network built over many decades as well as thousands of 5-star reviews! This allows us to offer you the best prices compared to other diamond buyers and pawn shops, and of course, the best experience.

Genesis Diamond Buyers Beginnings

In 1987, after putting himself through a gemologist course at GIA, the owner of Genesis Diamonds, Boaz Ramon came to the United States to break into the most advanced jewelry and diamond market in the world.

When he opened his first retail store in Nashville, which has been voted the “Best Place to Buy An Engagement Ring” and “Best Jewelry Store” 14 years and running, it was important to him to also use his wholesale expertise to assist customers in their time of need. He opened Genesis Diamond Buyers to offer a safe space for clients to come in and sell their diamond jewelry, and receive actual market value for their pieces, not the ripoff prices offered in pawn shops.

Over the last 19 years, Genesis Diamonds is proud to have thousands of 5-star reviews in Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio!

The Value Of Our Expertise

With almost 40 years of experience working in the diamond industry and a staff of non-commissioned GIA certified diamond experts, we have a deep understanding of how to grade diamonds, and are able to offer you the best price for your natural diamond and/or diamond jewelry.

About GIA Diamond Grading

The Gemological Institute of America [GIA] is the industry’s ‘gold standard’ for measuring the quality of a diamond and is accepted by everyone in the industry as the most accurate grading system. Our non-commissioned GIA certified diamond experts are ready to evaluate and offer you the best price for your natural diamonds and diamond jewelry.

THE 4 C'S OF A DIAMOND

  • 1

    CARAT

'Carat' is the measurement of the physical weight of the diamond. Many confuse carat weight with the actual size, however, how large a diamond looks is actually a combination of the weight and how it is cut (if the table, the top facet, is larger or smaller).

  • 2

    CLARITY

'Clarity' focuses on the inclusions within a diamond and their visibility. The clarity of a diamond is graded on a scale from 'Flawless' (FL) to 'Inclusions 2' (I2).

  • 3

    COLOR

'Color' is actually measuring the absense of color, in other words, how white is the diamond. The color is graded on GIA's 'D-to-Z' system, D being colorless and gradually moving toward noticeable color which comes from natural sediments that are found within the earth.

  • 4

    CUT

'Cut' is how the diamond was cut. The better the cut, the more the shine, the fewer inclusions visible and the more brilliant the diamond. The cut of a diamond is graded based on a scale from 'Excellent' to 'Poor', and is the most important measurement for overall beauty of the diamond.
